TRIAL SET: Dog Mauling Death Case

A Prairie City woman whose dog allegedly killed a child she was babysitting will go on trial in October.

Jena Wright is charged with child endangerment resulting in death, neglect and assault on a peace officer. Monday, a judge set her trial date for October 2nd.

Police say Wright’s American Staffordshire terrier attacked four-year-old Jordyn Arndt in April 22nd.

Jordyn died from her injuries the next day.
