Des Moines police are looking for the vandals who trashed the Grubb Community YMCA.

Police believe the vandals were inside the building when staff closed up Sunday night.

Investigators say they destroyed a computer, damaged the television room, and broke into a candy machine.

Because there are no security cameras, police say it will be difficult to make an arrest.

“Our crime scene folks, they did recover some latent prints, but this business is open to how many people in the daytime. They were in there after hours. It will be a challenge. This will be a tough one,” said Sgt. Jason Halifax.

No one from the YMCA could comment on the incident.
