Polk County republicans get together Thursday night for a fundraising dinner.

The Robb Kelley Club Annual Spring Dinner will feature guest speaker, Wisconsin governor, Scott Walker.

Walker lived in Iowa as a child, until his family settled in Wisconsin.

Walker made headlines when he challenged public unions leading to a recall election, which he won in June last year.

Many wonder if the Iowa trip signals interest in a possible presidential run, but Walker insists he is focus on running for reelection as governor of Wisconsin.

Governor Branstad will also speak at the dinner being held at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines.

The reception starts at 6 p.m. with tickets starting at $75.
