Nearly 100 Quad Cities veterans are spending Thursday in Washington, D.C.

The QC Honor Flight group is showing 94 war veterans the memorials dedicated to their service in the nation’s capital.

Fourteen of the veterans traveling fought in World War II and 80 of them fought in the Korean War. The group also took a group of veterans to D.C. from Cedar County.

One vet says it’s nice to go back to D.C. with some of his friends from the Korean War. [

“I’ve seen pretty much everything over there ya know what I mean, so pretty much being with the veterans is why I came,” says veteran Darrol Price

The group returns from Washington, D.C. at 10:00 Thursday night.
