With the legislative session behind them, members of the Iowa Democratic Party plan to tour the state talking to constituents.

Chairman Tyler Olson kicked off the ‘Delivering for the Middle Class tour’ in Des Moines on Wednesday.

Olson will travel to six cities to highlight the achievements democrats made during the session.

“The Democrats really drove a hard bargain and I think, ended up coming out ahead. We came out ahead on the earned income tax credit, making sure main street Iowa businesses got a tax break, and in particular that 150,000 Iowans got access to health care. These are not small things,” Olson said.

The other stops on the tour are Sioux City, Mason City, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids and Dubuque.
