CORALVILLE CREST: Water Remains Under Spillway

The Coralville Lake crested Wednesday according to the Army Corps of Engineers.

The water topped out at 708-feet one day earlier than expected.

The Corps originally feared the water would go over the emergency spillway causing major flooding in nearby areas, but it ended up about three feet below.

Officials warn residents aren’t in the clear just yet, any big rainfall could change things drastically.
