PEDESTRIAN HIT: Woman Sent To Hospital

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car Wednesday morning in downtown Des Moines.

Police say around 10:15 a.m. a driver hit a pedestrian crossing the street at Second Avenue and Grand Avenue.

Authorities say the driver didn’t see the woman crossing the street.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital by ambulance with a lower leg injury.

Police are still trying to determine who is at fault in the incident.
