PRIDE PARADE: Hundreds Line Streets

Hundreds of people lined the streets of Des Moines Sunday afternoon in support of the 35th annual pride parade.

The parade started on Grand Avenue, near the Capitol and ended on Locust Street, near City Hall.

The weekend long Pridefest event celebrates the LGBT community and aims to promote acceptance, tolerance, and understanding through education, programming, and visibility.
