An Oskaloosa man says he’s not guilty of killing a child left in his care.

Police arrested 24-year-old Bryan Vilcone in April. He is charged with first degree murder for the death of seven-week-old Raelynn Hart.

An autopsy revealed the infant died of abusive head trauma. Investigators say during police interviews Vilcone admitted to shaking the baby.

Vilcone entered his not guilty plea Monday. His trial date hasn’t been set yet.
