ARTS FESTIVAL: Events Begins Friday

The 2013 Des Moines Arts Festival will start in just two days.

The first tents were set up at Western Gateway Park off Locust Avenue Tuesday evening.

Wednesday night, Grand and Locust avenues, 15th, 13th and 12th streets will be shut down for the festival.

The fun starts Friday morning at 11. The festival ends Sunday at 5 p.m.

There will be dozens of artists whose work you can browse and buy as well as live music and food.

Admission is free.
