MORRISSEY PLEA: Drug, Assault Charges

The father of one of the abducted and murdered Evansdale girls pleaded guilty to drug related charges Monday in Black Hawk County.

Dan Morrissey, the father of Lyric Cook, pleaded guilty to six charges including conspiracy to manufacture meth.

Morrissey also entered an Alford plea in connection with a domestic abuse case involving lyric’s mother, Misty Morrissey. His charge was then changed to a non-domestic assault causing bodily injury.

Morrissey is currently serving a jail sentence on drug charges, unrelated to the disappearance of his daughter.
