The recent heat wave had people rearranging their schedules Wednesday.

Even once the sun started dropping, the Riverwalk Dog Park was still a ghost town.

“We usually wait a little later, normally we’d come out right after work but now we wait until after dinner for bring them out,” says one dog owner.

Owners say the heat is making it hard for them to find exercise time for their dogs.

“We were down here about noon, one o’clock this afternoon it was too hot.  There wasn’t anybody down here so it dropped, what three or four degrees, so he decided to come down to see if we could find some friends,” says Bruce Jones.
