A Johnston man is scheduled to be sentenced Friday for growing marijuana in his home.

Investigators found more than 500 marijuana plants at Timothy Lantz’s home last fall. That was after a two-year investigation linked him to an unpaid storage unit that contained grow lights, plastic swimming pools, and hundreds of plastic pots.

Earlier this year, Lantz pleaded guilty to manufacturing marijuana.

He faces up to 40-years in prison.
