The Des Moines Area Region Transit Authority is making it easier for RAGBRAI riders to get around Des Moines on Tuesday, without their bikes.

DART is extending its D-line service to help bikers get from the campsite at Water Works Park to the festivities downtown.

The D-line will operate every five to seven minutes starting at 10:30 Tuesday morning until midnight.

The route will be shortened on the east end, to turn around at East 6th Street, as well as extended on the west end to the Water Works Park campsite on George Flagg Parkway.

The buses are equipped with bicycle racks for RAGBRAI participants who can’t be parted from their ride.
