A vote on renovation plans to expand space for Polk County courts will be held in November.

The Polk County Board of Supervisors decided Tuesday to put the $81 million bond referendum on the ballot.

The money would be used to renovate the Wellmark building the county acquired in a land swap. The plan also calls for renovating the old jail and current courthouse downtown.

In 2008 a vote for a similar, but more expensive, plan failed.
