The re-trial for a Wapello County man accused of murdering his pregnant wife has been delayed until further notice, according to court records.

Seth Techel, 22, is accused of shooting and killing his pregnant wife, Lisa, in their Agency home in May of 2012.  He is charged with first-degree murder and non-consensual termination of a pregnancy.

Techel’s first trial in March ended in mistrial after the jurors failed to come to a unanimous decision.

The re-trial was scheduled to start Monday in Henry County.  A new date for the re-trial has not yet been determined.
