PRISON TIME: Hit-And-Run Sentencing Wednesday

A Des Moines woman is scheduled to be sentenced in connection with a deadly hit and run crash Wednesday.

Twenty-six-year-old Kristine Gordon will go before a judge Wednesday afternoon. She pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, leaving the scene of deadly accident and driving while barred.

Des Moines police say Gordon was behind the wheel of an SUV that hit 58-year-old Clayton Payne at 6th and College last March. Payne died at the hospital.

The attorneys in the case are suggestions a prison term of 17-years.
