Des Moines police are investigating a stabbing that happened in 1500 block of Grand Avenue early Thursday morning.

Police were called to the Jefferson Apartments at 1519 Grand Avenue a little after 3:00 a.m.  The stabbing took place in an apartment there but the victim did not stay there.

Officers were then called to the Quik Trip just two blocks away where they found the stabbing victim. The man was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the man was stabbed in the arm and that he should be alright.

Police have not yet made any arrests in this case. They say the stabbing appears to have stemmed from an argument that got out of hand.
