Support was given to the Food Bank of Iowa in the form of a grant.

The Farm Credit Services of America provided the group with a $2,000 grant for its mobile pantry and fresh produce program.

The grant money will help to support the “food in-food out” program which distributes large amounts of perishable and nonperishable foods to those in need.

It’s currently estimated that nearly 400,000 Iowans live at or below the poverty level.

The Food Bank of Iowa distributed more than nine million pounds of food over the last year.
