POLICE CHASE: Car Crashes Into Home

Des Moines police are still looking for the man that led them on a chase that ended when he crashed into a home.

Police reported a white car around 4:30 a.m. after it took off during a traffic stop on the 2900 block of Bowdoin Street.

When the white car hit the house a major gas line was threatened.

Police were forced to let the man get away so they could evacuate the neighborhood.

No major leak was found and police are still looking for the driver.
