It’s been weeks since Hotel Pattee in Perry closed its doors unexpectedly and city officials say the doors will likely remain locked for several more months.

The previous hotel owner struggled financially and now the bank has ownership.

City administrator Butch Niebuhr says the legal process has things on hold. Once that’s handled, the city will search for a new buyer.

Niebuhr says three potential owners are eyeing the hotel.

The city is hoping the hotel will re-open by the second week in November for Perry’s annual Art on the Prairie event.
