The Archdiocese of Dubuque is paying millions of dollars to victims of sex abuse by its clergy members.

26 victims of sexual abuse will split a $5.2-million settlement. Of the 26, four are female and 22 are male.

The abuse to the then minors happened between the 1940’s and 1970’s.

The Archdiocese of Dubuque keeps a list on its website of priests publicly accused of abuse. Nine of the 10 priests accused of abuse in this particular settlement were already on that list.

None of the clergy members accused in the lawsuit still serve with the church, many are deceased.
