The Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market is receiving some high praise.

Culinary website has placed the market in the #2 spot on its 101 Best Farmers’ Markets in America list.

The site used criteria about the quality and number of products available at the market as well as social media response and reviews to make its list.

The Des Moines market has nearly 300 vendors who sell fruits, veggies, dairy, meat, sweets, craftwork, and art.

Pike Place Farmers’ Market in Seattle took the top spot. It’s open year-round.

Another Iowa market made the list. Fort Dodge’s Market on Central came in at #76.
