The Clive city council will vote on a matter that would likely help reduce the urban deer population.

The council is considering adding a new buck incentive for deer hunters, Thursday night.

Currently, bow and arrow hunters with permits can only target does but the city wants to add an incentive that if hunters harvest a certain number of does they’ll get a tag for a buck.

The city say in the past three years, only one person has applied for an urban hunting permit.
