New information has come to light in the death of a child over the weekend.

17-year-old Cody Metzker-Madsen is accused of killing 5-year old Dominic Elkin on Saturday in Harrison County.

Metzker-Madsen has been charged with first degree murder.

The foster family spoke out on what happened this weekend to the young boy.

“Cody came into the house and told the girls that Dominic ran and he [Cody] had blood all over him and when Julie questioned him, she says ‘why do you have blood all over you?’ He says ‘Dominic hit me,’” the mother of one of the foster parents, Ladena Coolman said.

The family says Cody led them to Elkin's body in a ravine on the property.

dominicMetzker-Madsen had been with the family for three years. Elkin had only been with them for a few weeks.

Metzker-Madsen is still in jail on a $500,000 bond.

Elkin's autopsy was completed Monday but the results have not been released.
