This weekend will mark the end of an era for the Iowa Air National Guard at the Des Moines International Airport.

The Air Guard is holding an end of flight ceremony on Saturday to commemorate the final manned flights for the 132nd Fighter Wing.

The unit’s F-16s are being transferred to a New Jersey air base.

The 132nd will transition to a drone plane unit.

The weekend ceremony is not open to the public but Channel 13 will have more from the ceremony on our Saturday evening newscasts.
