SHOOTING CASE: Marshalltown Teen Shot

The Marshalltown Police Department is investigating the shooting of a 17-year-old who showed up at the hospital.

Officers were called to the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center around 6:30 Tuesday. They say Mario Murillo suffered a gunshot to the head. His injury was not life-threatening and he is expected to fully recover.

Police believe there was a fight that led to the shooting in the area around the 600 block of West State Street. Nineteen-year-old Dedrick Fisher was inured in that fight. He was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

They do not have a suspect in the case.
