A Des Moines home caught fire early Sunday morning.

Firefighters responded to the fire on the 1900 block of 37th Street around 4 a.m. after a neighbor saw the flames and called 911.

Officials said they believe the fire may have started in the bedroom in the back of the house.  It’s too early in the investigation to know what caused the fire, they added.

No one was home at the time of the fire.

The fire caused about $10,000 worth of damage, according to officials.
