The Des Moines Renaissance Faire set an attendance record this weekend of more than 2,000 people. Saturday's crowd wasn't the only record breaker. The festival at Sleepy Hollow Sports Park set a Labor Day attendance record as well. The Faire started on August 31st and other than today, organizers say they've had great weather for the event.

So many people came out that many of the food merchants ran out of food Saturday. “We actually had people singing “Standing in Line for a Very Long Time.” We actually had some people mad because I had to turn them away at certain points,” said food vendor Zach Wolfe.

The Renaissance Faire ended today. An estimated 10,000 plus checked out the festival this year.
