Iowa has the oldest voluntary State Bar Association in the United States.

It has been continuously operating since 1874 and last year, those attorneys got into politics like never before with a campaign to get rid of politics from Iowa’s Judicial system.

The bar’s President Guy Cook said he thinks judicial retention was only the beginning.

Cook is a trial lawyer who wants to educate Iowa on the importance of being fair and impartial courts.

Cook sat down with Channel 13’s Dan Winters at the Bar Association Headquarters to spend Three Minutes in the Chair.

Cook’s son started a charity to help children who suffer from kidney failure.

The Guts Gear Foundation gives kids free and fun activities while they undergo dialysis.
