Overnight tonight clouds will build in from the west bringing showers and thunderstorms back into the state by morning.

Most of the rain will fall along a cold front as it pushes into Central Iowa between 5 AM and 1 PM. Widespread amounts around a half inch are likely, especially west of I-35. Temperatures will fall off a bit as well. Both Saturday and Sunday will see highs in the lower 70s. Sunday will be dry.

Dry weather continues through the first half of next week, with another chance for rain or storms by Thursday or Friday.
