Four metro fire departments responded to a house fire early Sunday morning.

Residents at 6506 Allison Avenue in Windsor Heights said they woke up to popping sounds coming from the kitchen.  The noise they heard turned out to be a fire.

Firefighters were able to put out the flames in a matter of minutes and no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
