The Iowa Department of Agriculture is also feeling the effects of the federal government's shutdown; employees with IDALS working in Natural Resources Conservation Service facilities will work from alternate locations during the interim period until Congress passes a continuing resolution.

Those state employees can still be contacted through the Department’s office in Des Moines, however. Questions for state soil secretaries and state soil technicians should be directed to the Des Moines office as well.

All other areas of the Department continue to operate and will continue to evaluate any further impacts from the federal government shutdown.
