The Iowa Hawkeyes took on the Michigan State Spartans Saturday afternoon at Kinnick Stadium. The game kicked off at 11 a.m. in Iowa City.
The game got off to a slow start with neither team putting anything on the scoreboard. But it picked right back up in the second with Michigan snagging a 27-yard field goal. The next team to the scoreboard is the Spartans again with a touchdown, taking the game lead with the score 10-0.
But the Hawkeyes were right back at it, scoring two back to back touchdowns in the second quarter. At half-time, the Hawkeyes had taken back the lead over the Spartans 10-14.
In the third quarter, the Spartans were back with a fight, grabbing another Michigan touchdown. Just minutes later, the Spartans were back with a 35-yard field goal. At the end of the third quarter, the Spartans had the lead 20-14.
The fourth quarter started and its Michigan again. The Spartans scored two field goals, boosting their lead against the Hawkeyes 26-14.
The Hawkeyes lost to the Spartans, the final score of the game was 26-14.
