This afternoon will be very similar to yesterday with sunny skies and high temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. Southerly winds will keep us well above average through Friday afternoon before big changes take place. A cold front will move through the state on Friday bringing very isolated showers and thunderstorms. This front will also bring cooler temperatures for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will stay cool with highs in the upper 60s.
Another system will push through central Iowa on Monday and Tuesday bringing beneficial rain. Temperatures will stay cool through the middle of next week.
