The Des Moines Social Club will have some extra cleaning up to do before it can continue its renovation plans.

Police say someone broke in and vandalized the club sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Some of the interior walls at the organization’s new location were damaged with paint.

An estimate of the damage is not available yet and no arrests have been reported.

The social club has purchased the old fire station on Mulberry Street, and plans to move in sometime next year.
