Overnight temperatures tonight won't be as cold as what we saw Sunday morning. Lows will be in the lower 40s.

On Monday, a strong SE wind will push highs close to 70 as clouds increase throughout the afternoon. After 6pm, rain will start to work its way into Central Iowa, with steady rain after midnight into Tuesday morning. As much as half an inch of rain is possible in Des Moines.

Behind the rain, much cooler weather will settle into the state with highs only in the 50s.
