FOOD PRIZE: Week Long Event Kicks-Off

This week marks World Food Prize Week in Des Moines.

The week of events brings people in from all over the world to discuss ways to end world hunger.

Tuesday will see the annual Iowa Hunger Summit.

This year, there is a new award that ss named in honor of former governor Robert D. Ray and will presented to Lucille Wilson.

Wilson is a longtime hunger advocate who organizes the area Hunger Hike.

There will also be the Borlaug Dialogues and the Wood Food Prize Award ceremony.

The whole week is in honor of Iowa native Doctor Norman E Borlaug.
