The city of Waukee has decided to bump its Beggars Night back one day because of a conflict with a local football game.

The Waukee High School football team is scheduled to host a playoff game on October 30th, the same night city leaders originally set as Beggars Night. Because of the expected increase in traffic around the stadium, school leaders wanted to move Beggars Night to Halloween, the 31st.

Wednesday afternoon the city council decided to move Beggars Night to October 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
