The federal trial for a Newton man facing child pornography charges is being postponed until next year.

James Brock is charged with sexual exploitation of a child along with production and possession of child pornography.

Police arrested the 72-year old in July after searching his home. They found more than 1,000 recordings of children and adults undressing.

Authorities say the victims used a tanning bed or swimming pool at Brock’s home.

The federal trial has been moved back to January 13th. The court approved the delay to give the defending attorney more time to prepare.

Brock is also awaiting trial on state charges.
