SEVERE BEATING: Trial Set For Teen Suspects

The trial of two Des Moines teenagers will take place in January.

Terrance Cheeks Jr and Leshaun Murray, both 16, are charged as adults with two counts of first degree robbery.

The two, along with 17-year old Kenneth Barry are accused of carjacking Mike Wasike in February.

Wasike was severely beaten and left on the side of the road. He suffered a fractured skull and brain damage and has been in therapy ever since.

The trials of both Cheecks and Murray are scheduled for January 13th.

The third suspect, Kenneth Barry will stand trial next week.
