One of the biggest and most popular stage shows going is back in Des Moines for ten days and Wicked fans are lining up to see it again and again.

"I’ve see it four times,” Carmen Thiedeman says. “It’s so exciting. At intermission you're so filled with it."

Thiedeman was one of hundreds in the crowd Friday night and thousands over a 12 day stop who will see and hear the untold story of the Wicked Witch of the West.

The Civic Center was packed early Friday with fans that couldn't wait for the curtain to rise. But before the show started, the work was already underway behind the scenes.

Channel 13 was given a back stage tour by Madame Morrible herself, actress Kathy Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald showed us some of the props that play an important role on stage as well as a tour of her dressing room.

The show is in Des Moines through November 10th. Tickets are still available for most shows starting at $48.
