Police are trying to find out who burglarized a metro church Tuesday.

The pastor of Elim Christian Church at 525 East 9th Street say someone broke in between 4-5 p.m.

The pastor told police the suspect threw a car jack through a pair of glass doors shattering them.

The pastor says the thieves took off with a few items including an electronic keyboard and a radio from the sanctuary.

“Sort of mixed feelings I think for someone to break in to a church that’s scary in itself I think this is a cry for help and ideally the Lord will touch them and they will change their ways,” pastor Michael Hurst said.

The pastor says he doesn’t know of anyone who would do something like this.
