Grinnell's Jack Taylor turned the basketball world on its ear last season.

Taylor scored 138 points in a single game to seal an NCAA basketball record.

On Sunday, Taylor scored 109 points against Crossroads. It's the fourth 100 point game in college basketball history and Taylor has two of them.

With all eyes on the 5’10” guard Wednesday evening against Wartburg, Taylor’s average took a tumble when he scored 106 points less than he managed against Crossroads – three.

To his dismay, ESPN’s Rick Reilly had traveled 4,000 miles to report on the game but the 11 time sports writer of the year was left with little content from this match-up.

But Grinnell did go on to win 88-79. Taylor says that’s the most important thing.

Taylor’s average is still 61 points.
