Iowa State and Kansas kickoff at 7 p.m. at Jack Trice in Ames, Saturday.

Our weather crews predicts it'll be about 12 degrees, making it the coldest ISU football game on record.

The original record was set in 1991 at 17 degrees. Its 22nd anniversary is Saturday.

ISU officials say the university has never canceled a game due to cold weather. And since the NCAA doesn’t have a minimum temperature threshold, officials say it’s unlikely they ever will.

It makes a stark contrast to the Cyclones' August game against UNI when the university brought 26,000 bottles of water to beat the 100-degree heat.
