If you’d like to help out needy families this holiday the Salvation Army and Walmart are teaming up.

The nationwide toy drive “Fill the Truck” is underway.

People can drop off new, unwrapped toys at collection bins at Walmart through December 15th. Salvation Army staff and volunteers will staff the bins at metro Walmart stores in Altoona, Ankeny, Grimes and Windsor Heights on December 7th.

The toys collected will be part of the items families participating in the Salvation Army’s Christmas assistance program can choose from.

This is the second year for the campaign.
