**A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for much of Central Iowa from 3 AM Sunday until Midnight Monday morning***

Overnight tonight clouds will continue to build in and light snow will start up in Western Iowa.

By dawn, light snow showers or flurries are likely in Central Iowa, with steady snow picking up after 7 pm. While the snow will remain relatively light, it will last nearly all day, allowing some moderate accumulations to pile up, especially in Northern Iowa.

2 to 4" of snow is expected in Central Iowa, with near 2" from Lamoni to Pella, and close to 4" possible from Carroll to Mason City.

Most areas between I-80 and Highway 30 can expect 2.5" to 3.5", with the lightest totals in the East and SE.

The snow will not be falling by the time the Monday morning commute arrives, but another round of very cold temperatures will set up for the day.
