HUSER TRIAL: Jury Continues Deliberations

Jurors are still deliberating the fate of Vernon Huser.

Huser is charged with first degree murder for allegedly hiring a hitman to have his wife’s lover, Lance Morningstar, killed.

He was convicted of the crime in 2010 but won a new trial on appeal.

The jury was given the case around 4:30 p.m. Monday and deliberated for about 30 minutes before breaking for the day. Jurors resumed deliberating around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.

The jury will decide between the following verdicts: first degree murder, second degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, or not guilty.
