A strong cold front will power through the state tonight, bringing drastically colder temperatures and strong winds to the state. That combination will deliver dangerous wind chills from -20 to -30 on Sunday and early Monday.
Make sure to limit exposure to the cold and wind by covering up skin and spending as little time as possible outdoors.
Temperatures will stay in the teens for much of the week, and light snow will be possible on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. At this time, only minor accumulations of less than 2" are expected.
