McDonald's recently cancelled its controversial McResource website.  The fast food giant has been criticized lately after workers protested for a higher minimum wage.

Jonathan Narcisse, a possible candidate for governor, said that raising the minimum wage to $15-an-hour is a quick fix.  Instead of bumping up the minimum wage, the state, Narcisse argues, should instead focus on providing education incentives so that higher education is a more affordable and attractive option.

Another possible candidate for the governor's race, Bob Krause, said minimum wages are much higher in countries like Australia and Germany, and a higher minimum wage has the ability to strengthen the economy here like it has there.
